CGT

Thought borrowed from a friend:

The hysterical reaction against the suggestion of a Capital Gains Tax would suggest that little has changed in the order of society since Lords ruled over the manor and taxed the mere mortals at will.

The hypocrisy and moral bankruptcy of Bill English to not recognise that profits = income and income = taxable.

When Gareth Morgan decries not paying tax on the sale of Trade Me and a share investor (bravo) sees no sense in not paying tax on an $8 mill share trading profit then something is not quite right

Kiwis have a strong sense of fairness and this doesn't seem so fair.

A November election beckons.
